For the past 4 years, Susan has been the Associate Vice-President Applied Research and Innovation at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. Previously , she had been at the University of Saskatchewan for 16 years in research administration, culminating as the Director of Research Services and Ethics. Prior to entering the world of research administration she was the polar bear biologist for the government of Nunavut. Susan sits on the National Research Council, is chair of Polytechnic Canada, and is a member of the National Research Advisory Group for Colleges and Institutes of Canada. She was a past member of CAREB and CARA Board of Directors and currently contributes to CARA as a mentor.
